Writing

At P.S. 41, students are expected to write daily. All students will be publishing writing pieces. Students will develop the strategies and confidence they need to become successful writers. Writing instruction continues to focus on teaching students the value of strong content, organization, and style; however the goal of the Common Core State Standards is to ensure college and career readiness. In order for students to achieve this, they must demonstrate three fundamental types of writing: opinion writing, informative or explanatory writing, and narrative writing. Use the links and samples below to help your child become a better writer.
